INTRODUCTION AND MISSION STATEMENT
Ronald N. Morris & Associates, Inc.
(RNM&AI) is a Forensic Document consulting firm dedicated to the highest
possible standard for service and professionalism. Our goal is to provide
clients with timely and accurate results in all examinations and consultations.
The services provided include, but are not
limited to:

Handwriting
and hand printing identification on original and copies of documents (original
documents are always preferred);

Traditional
forensic document services, i.e., alteration analysis, document fabrication,
non-destructive ink and paper examinations, determination of printing processes,
rubber and steel stamp impressions, the forensic examination of plastic card
documents, etc.; and
·
Technical
lecturers and class room instruction on the forensic examination of documents
RNM&AI has up-to-date equipment for
conducting examinations and comparisons. The equipment in the office consist of
an assortment of magnifiers, including a stereo zoom microscope with trinocular
capability for use with digital and 35mm cameras, digital and 35mm cameras for
laboratory and field use, scanners and computers for accurately recording images
and preparation of illustrations, etc. Recently we purchased a Foster +
Freeman® VSC-4C color and monochrome spectral comparator, including enhancement
system that increases the capabilities of the VSC-4C, for non-destructive ink
and paper differentiation using infrared and ultraviolet light, the detection of
document alterations such as patching and retouching of letters and numerals,
erasures, recovery of overwritten material, detection of security features, and
plastic card examinations. Original documents are needed for these
examinations.
Mr. Morris has a Bachelor of Science
Degree from George Mason
University in Fairfax, VA, and over 30 years of experience in Federal
laboratories and private practice. Before retiring in January 1998, and forming
RNM”&AI, he served as an Examiner of Questioned Documents with the U.S. Secret
Service for 23 years where he worked a wide variety of document cases, taught
investigator training classes and seminars, and made presentations on questioned
documents to many different investigator groups and technical organizations. He
received numerous awards and accommodations for his work from the Secret
Service, and other government and non-government organizations. He is a
court-qualified expert in handwriting and hand printing identification, business
machine impressions, plastic card technology, testifying over 190 times in
Federal, state, and local courts, military courts martial, and courts in the District of Columbia,
and internationally recognized expert. He holds membership in:
